Haha, yeah, I figured that would be asked. Honestly, I just wanted to see what people have to say about it. I don't have really anything in mind, just 100 dollars I wanted to spend on guitar ****. So anything really.

Invest in a 6-month CD, take it out, sell your amps, and shoot for something all-tube?

Hmm...I play mostly hard rock, metal stuff. I write almost everything for my band, but when I say that I play mostly that stuff, I don't know, if you guys heard our stuff you probably wouldn't agree. It is tough to explain. We'll go with rock, hard rock...like System of a Down, Coheed and Cambria, Muse ****.

And 6 month CD...what is the interest and compound rate in a deal like that?

I was thinking about that awhile back, but people were saying mixing a Metal Muff with a Hybrid amp would sound like ass. And I was thinking about new pickups, but with $100 it's really only a new PICKUP, not two...so if I was going for that I would wait til I had enough for both.

If I got new pickups, which should I get for the music I play. Also, tone I go for is a heavy, thick rhythm. Thanks.

You probably won't get a very good recording rig for about $100. There's software that you could use that would be free (e.g.; Audacity), but a quality microphone and a decent recording interface would definitely be more than what you're looking to spend.

I was serious about the amp though - you may want to consider saving up for an upgrade. Unless you want to delve into different effects (wah, delay, phaser, etc.), a new amp will provide a large tonal change.

I really have no idea. I'd assume probably not great - you'd be lucky to get 4-5% APY. It was just a thought. But seriously, $100 won't get you TOO far unless you just want something like effects. Save up!

Yeah, no doubt, haha. I think I am going to have to just save up. Thanks everyone!
