im currently looking for a small tube amp for recording. (like 5 watts around there) i play mainly melodic metal, and some basic rock. i also use cleans alot too, so thats important as well.so what amp would be good for me. if you think it would be better to get one amp for distorted stuff and one for cleans thats fine. just no more than 500 per amp but the less money the better. (i would prefer the 350 area) so basically recommend me some amp(s) to use for recording. thanks! if you need any more info just ask.

so TS are you saying you have $700 - $1000 total?
do you gig at all or just home recording?
by yourself or with a band (drummer)?
new or used?

i would think you would be able to find plenty of 2 channel combo amps in that range that can give you the best of both worlds.

Yes he has
Look at title
doesn't matter
idk

He doesn't want that because i assume he already has a nice amp

@TS: You can also buy a Line 6 toneport, you can make really nice recordings with those things and Gearbox (the software that comes with it)
