The room i am recording in is about 15 ft x 15 ft, and has an echoing/ringing effect and alot of extraneous noise can be heard (mainly with the drum set). I would like to get rid of that sound, as cheaply as possible. So far, the only thing i have done is hang blankets/comforters on most of the walls. any and all ideas are welcome.
Carpet and more blankets are pretty much all you can do on a low budget, without actually dampening the drums themselves.

I do believe you just used Blink 182 and hard rock in the same sentence. It would seem you're rather confused.
I have a quote in my signature! And it makes fun of blink-182! I'm cool now!
