Whenever I go to record something. I can play songs fine when I'm just practicing, but whenever I go to record myself, I mess up really badly. Takes me hours to get one decent take

I mostly play the drums, and i can never finish playing the intro Tom Sawyer by RUSH.
I always just **** it up right in the same spot when i have to use the bass and lift the hi hat simultaneously and then lift the hi hat again right after it.
I don't know why..... i just cant ****ing get it....

A lot of the time I've found things hard due to a bad TAB. Example "in a little while" U2 and the ride part in "little things" by Bush.

I'm the total opposite. I can downpick pretty well (Creeping Death riff, Seek and Destroy fast part) but I absolutely suck at soloing. I think I will pursue being a rhythm guitarist.

I was the same for ages, but I've almost got it finally. Still struggle quite a bit with the solo though.

Also, Black Dog by Led Zep. Just something about the timing of it I can't quite grasp. It's nearly there, but it never sounds right.
