They are very nice guitars. They sound great, especially cleanly. The only complaint I have is that it becomes difficult to reach any fret higher than, say, fifteen.

it's to split the humbuckers. Isolates a single coil, giving you single-coil pickup tones. Or something close, at least.

Hagstroms are pretty cool. I was hoping to pick up an Ultra Swede. I like the size better.

I explained the difference. On one setting, it'll be normal humbucker tone. On the other setting, it'll sound close to a single-coil.

I have a hagstrom viking and love it. It only had two problems: the volume knob kept falling off until I glued it back on and a small area behind the metal bridge is rusted but it's only visible when I'm changing strings.

I would never use that squire again, haven't touched it in a year.
But, yeah..i read a bunch on it...so now I'm less noob. ha ha
