I was thinking of buying a JCM.. but this is all for house practise and it'd probably be way too loud. Although i'd love to play my quadruple neck sg through a giant marshall stack.. can anyone suggest a smaller amp that still has the tonal qualities of a JCM?

JCM with an attenuator maybe?
try the blackheart little giant.

I was actually gonna get a ceriatone one with the half power switch.. but i still think 50 watts is overkill and will make my ears explode .

mesa boogie makes an amp called the express. it is switchable from 25 watts to 5 watts. i dont know what your budget is though

it was made by the designer of the EVJ. it has treble mid and bass controls. as well as a 5/3 watt switch though. you could also look at the handsome devil from black heart, its switchable 15/7 watts.
