which one of these would work better for a hardcore punk tone (with low end). and dont give me the "no effects in punk" becuase i've seen it everywhere. you can see my rig in my sig.

first, the OS-2:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-OS2-OverdriveDistortion-Guitar-Effects-Pedal?sku=151336

-will this give me a heavy enough distortion?

-will it sound good with humbuckers?

second, the ds-2

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-DS2-Turbo-Distortion-Pedal-with-Remote-Jack?sku=151371

-will this be too heavy of a distortion?

if you have any other suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. price range is up to 80 bucks

Electric - you plug it into a power outlet in the wall and the music comes from little speakers in the guitar.

Well, new amp of course...

But if you HAD to get a pedal, i'd go for the boss, since distos sound better on SS amps than overdrives do.

i like the mxr the most. but would it work with this power supply:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Digitech-PS200R-Power-Supply?sku=150189

that is the only one i have right now (shorted the other ones out) and i dont want to buy another unless i absolutely have to

also, quick question, is the ts7 any good?

^The TS7 is an overdrive, which doesn't sound too hot on SS amps.
And, it's kind of blah stock. It's a great modding platform though.

Yeah I didnt realize you had an SS amp so I'd just go with distortion. I really wouldn't know if that would fit, but if not I mean it has a 9 Volt in it and you can just replace it if it dies and get a correct power supply later. If you plan on going to a guitar shop to buy it, then just ask them.

Don't waste your money - you've got more than enough options for distortion with the RP250. If you can't get the sound you want then you need a new amp, a pedal isn't going to solve the problem.
