Whenever I can afford to. Not yet having a job and having 4 guitars, normally every 2 months or so. Using fast fret helps 'em last longer.
#8
Usually every two months. I'm a little late with changing them right now.

My strings rust in about 4 weeks. I usually have to change them because they mess with my tuning/sound once they've rusted.

How do strings rust? Do you pour coke on them or something?
#14
Maybe every 6 months to a year. I don't wear strings that much and they never rust so I usually only change one if I break it. My acoustic has had the same strings on it for a year and a half, it's starting to get noticeable and I'm going to have to get strings for it I think I got some for christmas but lost them. I also prefer old strings over new ones they feel better.

My strings never go bad. My friend's strings go bad instantly and he has to replace them once every month or two. I haven't replaced my strings in over a year...

Whenever they break or when I feel like it. Usually happens every other month.

Yeah, but whenever a string broke I had another guitar lined up. My guitars all sound good still so I don't see a need to? I'm on my last guitar with all strings attached though so whenever they break or start to sound really really ****ty i'll change the strings.

Yep. I haven't got new strings since last November....mostly cuz I have no idea how to string a guitar, even less with my Ibanez.
I get very tense around apples...Well, I get very tense generally. I think I've fallen into the trap of blaming fruit.

I really don't know how people can last months without changing them,
i've used all types from elixiers, d'addiros, and currently using Ernie ball, and no matter what they're made of i hate the feel of them after about a month, and the best of the tone goes within about a week anyway. So its about a month when i do mine, i normally have a random sunday when i just strip my guitars down, restring all of em, give the neck a good clean so no dirt builds up around the frets its sad i know, but all of my guitars still feel brand new.
#31
Well once a month is ok for me! And i really love the feeling of new strings. They're so sexy
#32
