Do you use the trem system a lot? Can you live without playing with a whammy bar? If you can, then get a hard tail. If you NEED a bar to play your stuff or want to try something new, get a trem.

I say Ibanez on both. The Artcore guitars are great.

Well its a pain, but you get used to it with a little time and experience so it doesnt matter, it's fun if you want to add some new sounds to your material.

If you're afraid of locking trems falling out of tune the you don't really need to worry much. After the strings are stretched, they hold tuning quite well. They'll stay in tune with light to medium use of the bar. If you're hanging off that bar like your life depended on it, then it might fall out of tune.

i agree with hatebreeder, as long as you don't just pick the guitar up by the bar trying to look all cool and awesomie, you should be fine. Just as long as you do what you need to with it, and like he said, not hang off of it, it should be fine.

i say trem, once u learn how to tune, and keep in tune a floyd rose, its notta problem.
plus if u planon using trems in the future u gotta learn to do it sometime :P

if you know what you are doing, yes get one with a trem, but a good trem. otherwise it is a pain in the ass to tune and restring.
