So I have a Squier P bass that i kinda feel like modding, for now just aesthetically. It has got this candy cola crap finish on it, and I'm wondering could i take a radial sander to this thing, get rid of all the red, and be left with a natural finish that i could clear coat the hell out of?
Better to use a belt sander, with the grain. I'm thinking the radial sander can wreak havoc on the grain.
radial sander? do you mean a random orbital sander? If so that is fine to use. It wont mess up the grain.
