It's perfectly okay to sing songs done by male singers, you can just change the key if you need to. What kind of genre?

If you are rowing down the road in your canoe and your wagon wheel falls off. How many pancakes does it take to make a doghouse?

Green, because a vest has no sleeves.

Can't we all just get a bong?
Check out Ani DiFranco.

Tegan and Sara?

I was going to say this, or Broken Social Scene/ Stars/ the whole wack of bands that came from Broken Social Scene.
"Dreamboat Annie" - Heart
"Love Alive" - Heart
"Barracuda (acoustic version from The Road Home)" - Heart
"Crazy On You" - Heart

Loads of Zeppelin sounds good with a chick singing, too.
I heard a really nice acoustic cover of Blood Red Summer- CC done by a girl, it was quite beautiful.

I really wish I could say you're funny and cool, but that would be like saying Africa doesn't have a poverty problem.
Fleetwood mac was a great suggestion, It didnt even phase me to cover 'em. Don't know how well it will work with a cajon but we'll give it a shot.

None of the other suggestions really caught my eye
