Garaj Mahal, Eric Mcfadden Trio, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Will Bernard and Motherbug, Animal Collective (not much of a jam band but they're interesting just as well), Perpetual Groove, Herbie Hancock, The Meters

check out bt.etree.org for tons of live recordings, particulary marco benevento's live stuff is what I'm really into right now.

Like some else has already suggested Chick Corea either the Acoustik or Electrik or Return to Forever. Check out the live version song Spain on youtube featuring Frank Gambale.

Herbie Hancock is great too. Amazing funk jazz.

Try "West Coast Boogaloo" by The Greyboy Allstars. Classy, smooth, funky jazz.

Also try Lettuce. They were Scofield's backing band for a little while, and are damn funky.
I simply cannot take this god-awful place anymore. Goodbye to all the good people here. The rest can fuck off.

Rosenwinkel and Mehldau are seconded. I love Brad's Radiohead covers.

The Breakfast.... they're like Phish only slightly more led zeppelin-y (as in louder and more distortion). plus they post like half of their live shows online for anybody to download at http://www.archive.org/details/TheBreakfast i very very highly recommend to any jamband fan

Also, nice to see another Rosenwinkel fan. What's your favorite album or tune?
