Post albums which you think are generally better than the band's most successful album. For example, Reign In Blood is known to be Slayer's best album, but personally, I think Seasons In The Abyss and South Of Heaven are a lot better. Post yours.

Well, that's kind of a hard one for my favorite artist. Bruce Springsteen's highest selling album is clearly Born in the U.S.A. His best however, is considered to be Born to Run. However, I think Wild, Innocent and the E Street Shuffle is better. Had a much cooler vibe than the others.

Kill 'em All > Black Album - Metallica
Waking the Fallen > City of Evil - Avenged Sevenfold
Hate Crew Deathroll > Follow The Reaper (but I love both) - Children of Bodom
nick_b is currently obsessed with:
Pokemon
Pinch Harmonics

7/8 timing
Lamb of God
Rise Against
Regina Spektor
Dream Theater
and many others...

^No. Show No Mercy is Slayer's best. So awesome.

also Kill 'Em All instead of Master of Puppets for Metallica
Individual Thought Patterns instead of SoP or Symbolic for Death
Endless Pain for Kreator rather than Pleasure to Kill or Terrible Certainty
A Vision of Misery by Sadus rather than Swallowed in Black or Illusions

Well, I like it a lot better than The Wall. The Wall just had too many fillers, IMO.

Definitely. Some people even say Led Zeppelin is better than IV. I'm not so sure about that but I definitely think II is better than IV

I'm not saying IV was bad, it's just that it's not like II, which had more of a Zeppelin feel to it. IV was a lot more experimental and folksy, too.

Siamese Dream > Mellon Collie by Smashing Pumpkins
And I almost (almost) like Gish more than Mellon Collie. I like some of the songs on Mellon Collie but its not a great album

White Album, even with all the flaws, > Sgt Pepper - The Beatles.
Mob Rules > Paranoid - Black Sabbath. I love Paranoid but if I pop a Sabbath CD in, it'll probably be Mob Rules.
Thundersteel > Fire Down Under - Riot.

I was always under the impression that Powerslave was held as the high point. Or maybe that's just me thinking everyone shares me preference.
