hi ug

im looking for a good distortion pedal to accompany my boss blues driver

just a general versatile distortion that can do a variety of sounds

somthing like a ds1 but not one of those because they suck

edit: i play a us tele throught a hot rod deluxe

i play blues and indie, but i want somthing that can do like foos qotsa etc distortion

You might want to look at an EHX Big Muff Pi for a smooth kinda fuzzy distortion. Might sound really good with what you're into. You could also take a look at the Satchurator coming out next month.

i dont want somthin that sounds muddy or too distorted

just somthing a bit more up from overdrive, thats capable of a darker heavier tone

somthing thats gotta work well with chords, and still remain clarity

maybe you shoulcd check out a fulltone ocd, xotic bb preamp, or a keeley katana.

what is it with people praising that piece of junk lately?

i agree with steven seagull, proco rat. The big muff won't really do indie or blues that well.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.
