Hai all,
i just picked up a copy of Amplitube 2 (software amplifier/recorder) and it recommends using your Patchchord To the DI Box's Input then XLR to RCA Output into the soundcards mic jack.

so my question to you is, what is a cheep and effective DI BOX for this sort of job?
oh, and none of that Behringer crap.

thanks alot crew!

Actually those Behrigner ones are pretty good, we have one. Not top of the line, but does a solid job.

I'd look into M-Audio. I have an M Audio Fast Track that works pretty well.

I've tried the DI-20. It worked pretty good for me. Though I just remmbered the PA system wasn't too good, so I might not have known it exactly.

However I hear Whirlwind are very good:

It's not a lot more.

Behringer DI Boxes are terrible, I've used the ones at college countless times and not once have they ever sounded any good.
A dwarf might hear you. What then?

As I said, when I tried them, they had a **** PA system, so I figured that after all they might be awful, just that I couldn't hear it.
