...my tone went down the crapper. What was a nice mellow tone has turned into a clangy, metallic mess. It feels so unnatural.

Has this happened to anyone else? And does anyone has any ideas on how to remedy this? They are Fender Stainless Steel Flatwounds

Thanks

new strings are supposed to sound metallicy. i liek the sound of new strings. if you like more mellow tone from strings i'd suggest using flatwounds.

Thery're Fender Steel flatwounds. I reread my original post and it sounds incoherent, so I'll fix it
