Just thought I'd share. Not too shabby for my first bass rig.

Cort Corbow Fretless and an Ampeg BA112.

Yeah, he makes a good point. Unlined fretless is a bitch even when you're used to bass technique. It's definitely a brave move for a beginner.

I started on an upright, so this is easy. There are some techniques that are new to me, like slapping, but in general the electric is much more fun to play because of the smaller neck and markings on the side. As an added bonus, it's much easier to haul around than an upright.

Fair enough. Well I'll go back to admiring your bass then!

I've played a few of those and they're very nice for the price. They don't sit right on the knee, but if the trade-off is huge access then that's a price worth paying IMO.

It was 380 new. I don't think GC carries them, unless it's used.
