Alright, I'll give them a try, Japanese Black Speed rarely disappoints.

Hmm judging from your pic you'd fit in more with a fat busted tribute.

This has been my favorite one yet. I love all the proggy stuff in it, even though it leans more towards thrash/death. Anata, Decrepit Birth, Blind Illusion, Heathen, all amazing.
#5
hahaha yah thanks. I tried to pick as many of the best bands yet most not-talked about bands to, although I had to include some known ones for good measure. Psypheria is actually very underground and if you want to hear more of there stuff you have to search online for a torrent because I can't find them anywhere on ebay. The only way I had heard of them before was because the main guitarist in Psypheria was my old English teacher.

Also I just got the Vale of Pnath EP so thats why I decided to include them. And I just thought Sleep Terror was so unique in how they don't even make regular songs but more just like a jazz-fest of metal songs almost with no end in sight, just continual changes in time, key, and further complexities. Thanks for the support everyone.

EDIT: oh and Blind Illusion and Heathen simply f*cking rocks.

Psypheria is the only out of those that I don't know, but there's some real gems in that list of yours
Sadus, Watchtower, Blind Illusion, Heathen, Martyr, Anata, Blotted Science... all great

was considering to put some Pestilence for my list too
I’m not the man I used to be, I... I can’t go back to Arkham.

I... I should return to Arkham.

Among the churchyard’s mouldering stones I recognise a name – my own.

HEHEHE! I beat you to it!

P.S. Yah as I said look up Psypheria's "Embrace the Mutation" on a torrent site because you won't be able to find it on amazon or ebay (trust me, I tried).

EDIT: also, whenever the mods have a chance, please sticky this thread. thanks in advance.

I want to try that while playing the opening riff to "Tempting Time".

0-0-0-13-0-0-0-0-13 or something like that alalalala but It;s so heavy and off time and awesome and you could not f**k anyone to it.

cuz now your life is done
#13
^Yah i really wasn't sure for watchtower whether to upload mayday in kiev or instruments of random murder.... but i chose mayday in kiev. god ron's just so good with those awesome proggy metal riffs.

Me likey. Ron Jarzombek ftw. I was considering putting a Spastic Ink song on my playlist, but I didn't have any room... Also, I actually had Somnambulist Pedophile on it at one point.

Holy ****, Psypheria is amazing.

EDIT: So are most of these bands.
#15
^yah psypheria is great. i wish they were still together. the lead guitarist went off to pursue classical music on his acoustic.

EDIT: is it just me or do i get the feeling that the metal forum radio is losing momentum and only the veteran metal forum users are still keeping this train chugging?

Im lurking! lmao nice list! Lots of stuff I haven't heard before. It must've been awesome having a metalhead for a professor.
#17
Really good list.

Maybe the best so far.

Is everyone sticking to a basic theme? If I have a mix of all genres in my playlist, do you think it might not flow very well?

Maybe I should just focus on folk or something...

he was pretty br00tal on my grammar .

it was just funny because he seems like such a quiet, well-thought Shakespearean poet guy, and then you give him a seven string custom schecter and he just shreds away.

^to phill:
hey as long as it sounds good go for it... its nice though when the songs have something to link between them (either being similar genres or having some related themes from one to the next) just cause it smoothes the transition, whereas if you played someone cathedral or candlemass, then afterwords played them autopsy, and after that nightwish they might like it (if they were all really good songs) but then again it might not transition so smoothly.

^Yeah, it's only a couple of days til the next one anyway.

If we hold it up for VGF, everyone else will get confused about when they put theirs up, or be more likely to post it late.
