C'mon, man. We're just kidding. We all know that drummers are important.

After all, without drummers, who would bag my groceries?

This is what their web site says - basically late July

----------------------------------------
We're getting a ton of email from the potential masses of the BHE faithful regarding the new Handsome Devil, Killer Ant and Hothead and where in the blazes you can find one. Most of ya'll have been kind enough to blame your local or e comm dealer but the truth is, it's all on me and the Belov. We've fallen a little behind our original expectation dates.

That said, we thought we'd be as informative and upfront as possible so you know what to expect....

The Killer Ant and Killer Cab will be in stores in late July. They're on the water now and we'll receive them in late June. We need to go through and make sure everything's perfect, then we'll spank their little behinds, take a few pictures and send them out ASAP.

Like 130 USD for the Killer ant head.
I'm totally getting it. I need something for home practice where I can actually get breakup without ticking off the family.

If you tried the handsome devil, can you tell me if you liked that more than your Classic 30?

Not necessarily.
I know that I want the killer ant, but i'm not sure about the XD yet.
I may get an XD when I MUST get something more portable, and versatile.
But for now, I have my eyes set on the killer ant.

Went to GC today, of course they didn't have it. I was very dissapointed. I also thought they were gonna come out at the same time. But search blackheart on the GC website. You get the Handsome Devil and Little Giant.

Wouldn't it be the same if you buy an Epi Jr?

You have a point, but 5 watts are still pretty loud.

Oh. I was wondering b/c I thought that the BH would break up faster than the Epi.

It's actually less than one watt.

Oh, the killer ant is also an example of there being a preamp tube in the power section.
Look at youtube for some vids on it!

DEATH metal?
Probably not. Even with a pedal. Because, the HD isn't voiced for death metal.
I'd save your bills and get something like a Randall RG50TC

Well, I haven't played one in a while, but last time I remembered, the RG50TC sounded great at low volumes. Well, it thrives on preamp distortion, so that's probably why. no cranking up to get power tube saturation.

so if i keep it at low volumes and use an OD to boost it a little, it'll sound better?

It should, but make sure to try before you buy. I haven't played one a while, so I may be a bit off. But, I can tell you that it sounds great for heavy metal.
