Hey guys, quick quesiton. Is it better to practice my technique on a cheap acoustic guitar than on my electric guitar. the acoustic guitar has pretty high action and is strung with 12's. Im wondering if it wil hinder my bability on electric guitar if i practice my technique on the acoutic.

Yes and no. Your fingers will become stronger, but as a result of getting used to the high action, you'll get into a habit of pressing your strings too hard on electric therefore changing the pitch etc. You'd grow out of it though. I shred on my classical for weeks ata time, and then it's hard to get acquainted with the electric again. It's not a huge problem however.

You'll grow accustomed to whatever you're practicing on so unless you intend to play your music on the acoustic guitar, I advice against practicing on it.
