You can just transpose any tune to G.

why G?

Maybe he learnt a bunch of blues licks that use open strings. So he can only do them in the one key. (That's the best reason I can come up with).
That been said, I think Stormy Monday was in G, but I can't be bothered checking.

you can move anything into G

beware of using songs with all the same key when playing live tho
