It has just occurred to me that the intro riff to Sweet Child 'O' Mine is a perfect riff to harmonize. I know its a classic but hey....

Now the original is tuned down a half step but we might as well play it at the 12th fret anyway, since that's where its played. The tricky bit for me is harmonizing it.

Now I've tried diatonic 3rds and 7ths but neither of these seem to sound good. Any suggestions...?

Please feel free to tab your versions out, although I don't have Guitar Pro unfortunately.

Let the harmonizing commence....!

What does harmonizing a riff mean? Turning it into chords?
When two notes are played simultaneously (as in at the same time), its called a harmony. The process of choosing which notes to play over the original melody is called harmonizing.

BTW, a melody is when notes are play one after the other.

******If you want to play along with the song, remember to tune all your strings one half step down, since gnr uses Eb standard.
