Chorus
As I Walk Up On,
This Lonley Street.
As I Look Around Me,
What I See Is You And Me.
Just Like We Used To Be.

Verse 1
I Remember Looking Up In The Sky,
While Holding Your Hand Up High.
These Things Seem Too Good To Be True,
While Our Love Grew

Chorus

~Solo~

Verse 2
I Loved How You Looked At Me,
Staring Into Your Pretty Blue Eyes.
Sitting On Rooftops, Lookin At The Sky,
Doing Things We Never Regret.

Chorus

Bridge
But Now You Threw Me Out,
Said You Wanted Me Out Of Your Sight.
Just Because Of One Little Fight.

Verse 3
This Cold Road That I Walk On,
Makes Me Think Of The Time On The Beach.
Looking Back At The Footprints In The Sand,
Having Time On Our Hands.

Chorus (Repeat Last Line)

~Ending Solo~

I like those last two lines and i'd love to hear some of these solos, good song overall, poetic, powerful and mysterious, try and get some sound to go along with it if you can.

yeah, I assume you want it to be kinda slow? somewhat cliched as Eggmond stated, but if you have good music I think we might have a pretty good song on our hands

there really isn't much happening here.
you have a frame, but no plaster.
forget about paintings on the walls.
you're lonely.
you reminisce about when the two of you used to be together.

you used to look at the sky while holding her hand.
... and your love "grew".

you sat on the rooftops.
more sky-looking.
her eyes were blue and "pretty" and she looked at you.
you liked that.

then she got mad at you and threw you out
you didn't like that

so you walk on a road. oh, it's a cold road.
and you think about footprints in the sand.
btw, the sand is on the beach.

we've been to the beach, a rooftop, and a road.
but never felt the breeze, heard the surf, traffic, neighbors arguing, crickets, w/e.
we can't smell her hair or feel her breath.
hearts don't pound.
no tongues can be found.
we have no clue if any/all of this happens beneath an umbrella of stars
or an unforgiving sun.
we don't even know if the footprints were yours and hers
or those of some children playing as you imagined kids of your own.
or if the sun-scorched sand burned the soles of your feet
or if the cold waves turned your frigid toes as blue as her eyes.

take a moment here and there to paint a picture.
even graffiti would be welcome at this point.
