So I have about $2500 and I'm looking for a guitar that's primarily for shredding but that is also versatile enough to play other things. Don't tell me to get an amp, since I am shopping for a guitar.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

jackson also have very thin ncks and so do some esps, and yes i know ibanezes are good for shred but like 99.9% of people on this board are just like "get an ibanez" to any question i even saw one guy go "neither get an ibanez" when i asked should i get a RR3 or a EX400, there is a lot of ibanez fanboyism on this board.

None of the mentioned. I assure you the washburn wm556 sounds, plays, and feels better by far than any of the mentioned, except for the custom 24, which is on the same level.

1) u should know what guitars to look at
2) have ideas already of what to try out
3)enough experince to know what is going to do what u want it to

lol if you have $2500 to spend on a guitar you shouldn't be asking for suggestions on a guitar forum.

You should already know what you want to get.

Otherwise you would try all the guitars in that price range in person.

If you really have to ask here like this, I don't know if a $2500 guitar suits you.

Yep. have it YOUR way.

That only works if you know what you want on a guitar, ie, fret sizes, radius, bridge style, etc, etc.

Or they can copy a well known guitar for you.

This. If I had that amount of money I would be spending a very long time in a guitar shop

And, rather unoriginally, I would get an Ibanez myself.

I'd say you make your own guitar with that money, but given that you're asking the internet to tell you what to buy, I'm not sure if you can do that.

For shredding, though, I'd recommend a Jackson Soloist or an Ibanez PGM.

yeah, you do need to have a fair idea of what you want.

Honestly I bought two Ibanezes yesterday (an RG and a low-mid range bass) and I'm already a fan. I've played anything and everything but those necks (IMO) are way more comfortable than anything I've seen on a Jackson or an ESP.
