not saying ur an 8yr old but i see little 8 yr olds in guitar center always surrounding deans and telling their dads that they want the one with fire or thunder on it ive heard a kid turn down a fender highway one strat for some cheap razor back... just to get my point clear ur not an 8yr old if u play dean im saying that dean makes money off of 8yr olds wanting a picture of fire on there guitar.

ITT: Metal- guitar fanboys have a pissing contest.

Anyway, do you want a trem or not? There's 3 different body woods up there, they'll all give you a quite different tone.

Drop the Dean.

Jacksons are always a solid choice, the Gibson has a thicker neck if you want a big neck, the Jacksons will probably have a better trem on them. The LTD and the Ibanez are solid choices as well.

It's really just your tastes at this point. try them out and see what you like.

Even though I have played the xiphos and thought it was a nice guitar I would still get a Jackson becouse they are built to play and have nice tone woods.

why do people only want the explosion when they mention deans?

I mean if you want a solid guitar full of power the VMNT is imo far far better.
#16
either of the Jackson's for me (well i'd have the KV2 as I do have the RR24) but yeah I'd not relly bother with the dean there really overpriced for the hardware and there not really that great to play for the money imo

Yeah! I love overpriced signature guitars!

He'd be better of with a Time Capsule or a Mahogany series V if they make them.

How can people recommend a machine-made rr24 over a hand-made USA Jackson?!

Every guitar short of Tom Anderons are made with CNC machines, though things like the necks and fretboards are often hand shaped. Jackson's Japan shop handshapes the necks, unlike most Korean assembly lines

RR24.

Take a look at the new Ibanez XPT700FX, with a hard tail.

If you even considered the KV2, why are you comparing it with other guitars much cheaper? If you have the money, it's obvious the KV2 would be the best buy. The RR24 is great too.
