I didn't check your links, but what i used for my last build was:

krylon white primer, rustoleum enamel color coats, rustoleum hard enamel clear coat, and i think it turned out decent. the krylon worked great too.

According to the Plasti-kote website, it's Enamel. The old Krylon (with 5 balls) and Duplicolor are Acrylic lacquer and more "forgiving" when you do the wet- and dry-sanding.

I understand from the various UKers here that Halfords carries Acrylic lacquer and Nitro lacquer in spraycans. The pros and fanatics in the other guitar forums have had the same challenges with Enamel, including the new Krylon.

NEVER post FOUR time in a row again! two times is strecting it. i gave you my answer. do you not believe me?

use enamel or laquer for various guitar projects. any paint intended for wood use is okay.

NEVER post like that again. Read the damn rules. most times it takes DAYS to get a good reply, and i stick to my first reply as more than decent. I used it, showed you it works, time for you to do it for yourself.

+1

It gets really hard to read. Plus, for goodness sake, there's a reason why people invented Google.

What I use is automotive paint. How hard is that to comprehend? Just go down to Home Depot or whatever and buy some paint.
