The reason why I'm posting this is because I've never heard this guitar mentioned on the forums whether its a good or bad comment. It was for my birthday and my mom said the Local Music shop owner highly recommended it. I've been playing for a few monthes and I'm just wondering if this is a good guitar. (I've also been thinking about changing the pickups in a couple monthes.)

Name: ESP Ltd Viper-50

24.75” Scale
Basswood Body
Maple Neck
Rosewood Fingerboard
42mm Standard Nut
Thin U Neck Contour
24 XJ Frets
Chrome Hardware
ESP Tuners
TOM Bridge & Tail
ESP LH-150 (B&N) p.u.
Finish: OW, BLK, BCH

Edit: It was 200$

I noticed two different sellers with the same price have different bodies;

Basswood: http://www.interstatemusic.com/weba...uctId=900205951

Agathis: http://www.zzounds.com/item--ESPVP50

How do I tell if my guitar is which 1, or are these the same?

yeah it is a fine guitar. LTD makes quality stuff but one suggestion change the pickups out because the stock pickups aren't the greatest but they are still not bad

A guitar made of wood?
That's such a ****ing brilliant idea!
This was my second guitar for quite some time after i dropped my squire strat for it. It served me well for what i needed at the time and i'm sure it will do the same for you. I sold it to help pay for the les paul that i was making, but a good guitar none the less. As far as pickups I really enjoyed these ones that went into my les paul. http://www.activemusician.com/item--EM.11102-70. I have this as my neck pickup and then Duncan's custom custom as bridge. It has a very nice tone if your going for a vintage feel.

Ok thanks everyone this thread is prettry much done, I now know thats my guitar is pretty good and I'll recommend it on other threads. I'll probably put in the Screaming Demon pickups in a couple monthes also :-)
Great starter guitar IMO.

It'd probably be better to spend the $$ on a better amp than on PUPs. What's your current amp?
^ One is from 2007 probably.

Generally the LTD models with a number less than 400 aren't the best, but its ok for starting. Although you should save up and get a better guitar. My first guitar cost more than that one.
Thanks, and how do I tell if I have the 2007 or the 2008 model, or can I just trust its 2008 because thats when I bought it.
