I've got to learn this song for worship band. But what's this type of song called? It's got a echo on the verse and then splits into two choruses sung at the same time.

Here's the video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUp7oxOLans

Any ideas? The bit I'm talking about occurs at 0.56-1.32

PS I know it's a worship song, but is there a name for a song which does this echo and chorus spiltting thing?

A Christian Worship song? I don't know if you're asking for genre or not.
"Ultimate"-Guitar is the worst website on the internet. Polluted with unintelligent mongoloids.

yay!

All I can say is that it isn't a round cause that means that the singers start a bar behind each other and it's not a madrigal cause that's a medieval term.

It's not that because all the female singers are doing is repeating the male vocal in the verse...

the part you're talking about is when the girl is singing a different part than the guy but they're both singing at the same time. I don't know what that is called but i don't think it matters what it's called if you're trying to learn the song. good song though.
nothing to see here

I'm expected to sing as well as play so it would help if I knew what kind of song I was doing.

Plus, I LOVE music theory! I love knowing different terms and stuff....

I couldn't last 30 seconds to determine what song could it be.
