What is your preferred way to get your music WHEN YOU ACTUALLY BUY IT.

I like to buy the hardcopies myself.

Cd.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools

If I can, I buy it on vinyl and then download it for my ipod.

CD, if I can't get it on vinyl. I don't have anything on vinyl I really like, but I'd like to get some old punk or early thrash albums to give it some use.

I did however just buy Into Eternity's latest album on CD. good album too

Save The World, buy Itunes credit.

When you buy the hard copies, you have a lot of cd cases stacked up on your wall that you never use, because you ripped them to your ipod. Well plastic takes at least 1000 years to degrade. I had a lot (at least 50) cd cases that I threw out, not knowing how long they pollute earth.

Well now I buy iTunes credit, saving the world 1 less cd case at a time

When I do rarely buy music, it's on CD. Better quality and not in that stupid crappy itunes format.

CDs and piracy. I find the thought of paying for a low bitrate, DRM-laden MP3 to be apalling.

+1

Plus, if you know where to look, you can find CD quality illegal downloads of entire albums.

I personally think the wall of CD cases makes you look like you know your sh*t about music.

My feelings exactly. And it's not like I'm going to just throw out my CD cases despite the fact that I have them ripped to my computer. So as long as those plastic cases are on my shelf, I'm not harming the environment one iota. CDs ftw

I rather get a CD. My computer crashes a lot so if i have downloaded music from itunes, then i wasted $20 when i could of got a CD with no worries. I can rip the CD's to my computer anyway

I use ITunes because it's cheaper than buying the actual CD and I don't have to drive to the store to buy a copy. I buy CD's occasionally, though, but I can't tell if the music's low quality, I must have bad ears or something.
