i want a bridge that would allow me to have easy access to my tone and volume controls on a custom guitar that im going to make, but at the moment, whenever i play, the trem bar seems to get in the way - so i was thinking of making a bridge

the idea was that the intonation bit would sit where it normally would, but the tremolo bit would sit further back than that. kind of like brian mays guitar thinking about it.

ive had a few ideas on how to make a trem bit - but as yet nothing is really final. does anyone have any ideas as to how i would go about it? or have any tips on how to make one thats going to stay in tune? for example, why would a fender trem stay in tune better than a squier copy? i'll be putting locking tuners on it, but if its a crap bridge, that might not be enough.
