I'm not a huge fan of Oasis but I like Wonderwall. Browsing around on youtube I came across this beautiful laid back version of it and it sings to me in a completely different way from the original. Just magnificent

And who could forget the Foo Fighters' version of Stairway to Heaven (with the best solo ever). Judging by the comments some people seem to take music too seriously. With this one you shouldn't.

Those are the only ones that come to mind at the moment but it's a start. Share

Stevie Ray Vaughn's cover of Little Wing is pretty great, I also love Glass Harp's cover of Presence of The Lord (originally by Blind Faith, unless someone did it before them) but that's biased because I'm a Clapton whore. ELO did a good cover of Roll Over Beethoven too.

I honestly don't think BTBAM could do a lousy cover.

I swear to god, I'm the only person who liked Garage, Inc...

I like it too.

But the best cover they made and got onto that album, has to be Tuesday's Gone.

That is amazing.

Wow.... you make my head want to explode! Lol. JK. Anyways, as other people said, Bob Dylan wrote it.

Bob Dylan has written so many songs that have been covered so many times.

My favorite cover of one of his is Jimi Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower. Bob Dylan has even given Hendrix credit for basically making the song great and better.

Nice! But remember this is not a "best cover" thread, just different versions of the original that you like.

One that I've pretty much burnt out in the last few weeks is Foo Fighters' My Hero on the Skin & Bones DVD, but they play it acoustic quite often now.

I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan so here are two magnificent versions of Shine On You Crazy Diamond
