so i've had the boss gt-10 for a couple days now and it sounds awsome. but im debating on returning it for the line 6 x3 live. the amp modeling wasnt to bad. but from what i heard the x3 has way better modeling. but im looking for the best cleans, distortion and reverb/delays here.i plan to use it for recording and on stage. has anyone tried them both? would the x3 do better in what im looking for ?

my teacher has them both and he prefers the X3, but, the X3 is not really user friendly, comparing to the XT that I have myself

The X3 really does rock. Its immense. But i havent tried the boss, so i'll keep quiet.

The GT-10 is probably one of the best multi-effects out there IMO. You just need to twick your eq to get the sound you like, the patchs that come with the gt-10 are half-decent and you can create way better patchs yourself.
