i'm using very high output pickups (dimarzio evolutions) but my sound isn't hot, isn't saturated enough through my amp (mesa/boogie f-30 combo).

does using these keeley pedals help solve my problem?

it wont solve your problem. im sure you have tons of gain on tap with that mesa. get an OD in front of your amp to tighten things up and to add more gain if you need and get a 10 band eq to shape your tone.

the gain isn't tight on this amp you know. read the review then you know. i think it isn't in league with the other mesa amps.
that was what i suggested, the keeley tube screamer mod. so i'm still asking.
and i actually own boss eq-20 10 band equalizer. regret the buy. it colors my tone and the clipping is very problematic. i find boss ge-7 better.

vai.
i guess my sound right now on high amp gain can be described as "grindy".
so what i want is "smooth", "focused", "punchy", but still so in high gain.
