Ok so i'm building up my shredding and tapping skills and was wondering what is a good fairly intermediate excercise that incorporates both. Like where you're doing a trill or something then switch to tapping then move the tapping or something. Suggestions?

make one using different scale positions and practise with a metronome
Paganini's 24th caprice. It's pretty much just a huge etude. You can select a few of the variations to work on. 5th variation has some octave tapping on all strings.
wow i just looked at guitar pro for caprice 24, it looks like paganini knew exactly what shred was
I prefer the 5th caprice, but that's just me....
