No, not really. The preamp out is line level signal (I think), as is the effects return, so it shouldn't matter. The only thing I'd be worried about is having a load for the head, it should be connected to a cab I think (unless using the preamp out gives it some sort of a dummy load or something).

Righty, a preamps signal is about the same level as the guitars so no worries there. Load on a poweramp refers to it having speakers connected when running so you should be fine .

I forsee no problem running the preamp out/effects send(serial loop) into another amps power section/Effects return. Its a nice idea too as it allows you to try out different poweamp tube configs with your existing preamp.

I was worried because someone might try this with a head, thinking he doesn't need to connect the speakers because he doesn't use them.
