I have an electro harmonix metal muff. My cousin used a 23 V adapter with it. The light turned on for a second then went out. Then it started to smell like something was buring. I opened it up and there is a resistor and a couple of capps (not surface mounted) near the power source. I was wondering if the resistor could have acted as a fuse and stopped the IC's from getting fried. Basicly I just want to know if it is fixable.

yeah you might be able to just replace the resistor, worst that can happen is that you'll be out a couple of bucks for the parts.

Make your dumbass cousin buy a new one.

The hotbar should be floating parallel to the principle axis at this point. Next, take a hammer, and beat yourself in the face while crying JIHAD. problem fixed.
