The girl I like don’t like me
She likes somebody else
And it hurts like hell
Ya know, whoa oh
No matter what I do or say to her
I just can’t seem to get through to her
There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for her
Ya know, whoa oh

He’s so perfect in every way
Or at least that’s what he tells her to say
Sometimes I just wish that he was gay
Ya know, whoa oh
I might not be a pastor’s son
Sure I like to have a little fun
But god’s on my side, I’m sure about that one

And of course I respect your religion
But this whole thing is nothing but superstition
Baby, dump him and see what you’re missing
Ya know, whoa oh
Cause it’s clear to me that he’s a professional
Making out with other girls in the confessional
That’s just how special you are
To him

But as for me, I’d treat you lovely
Even though I don’t go to church every Sunday
Love’s so much more than the money
Ya know, whoa oh
Just like I said, I knew he’d cheat
But that’s exactly what you did to me
Sorry baby but I’ve gotta leave
Goodbye
That’s the end of the story

I like it, it has a very wholesome feel, I'm not quite sure what word I would choose to describe it though. It has a lilting gait to it, I like the rhythm a lot.

Only thing that pops out to me at all right now is line 11 "Sometimes I just wish that he were gay" doesn't really fit. I see what you were going for, the kind of rueful/wistful feeling there, but I feel like there should be a better way for you to put it. In any case, I am a fan. Good job.

I liked it. It had a nice flow. I just thought you made your meaning, I guess a little obvious. It seemed a little like a short story. not nessicarily a bad thing, it just isn't my thing.

It's pretty good, not what I expected with the title Pastor's Son though. But it was pretty well writen and I like the whoa oh 's.

A cliche pot with 'whoa's and all.
Sorry, I just don't think of this as anything but... well... lyrics. Seems like the kind of song where the music will be really good but the lyrics are a well thought out second.

As you can tell with the comments other people have given you though, I'm a minority. I just have a different taste for things like this! It was fine though. Just, fine.
There's only one thing we can do to thwart the plot of these albino shape-shifting lizard BITCHES!

thx for critting mine

this one was mixed for me
like in the first verse i didnt like the first four lines the wording seemed awkward and didnt flow well
but i loved the last four lines..i liked the repition in it and the flow was much better
it seems like it could be a really good set of lyrics but it needs to be though out more

He’s so perfect in every way
Or at least that’s what he tells her to say
Sometimes I just wish that he was gay
Ya know, whoa oh
I might not be a pastor’s son
Sure I like to have a little fun
But god’s on my side, I’m sure about that one

quite good except for the say/gay rhyme

And of course I respect your religion
But this whole thing is nothing but superstition
Baby, dump him and see what you’re missing
Ya know, whoa oh
Cause it’s clear to me that he’s a professional
Making out with other girls in the confessional
That’s just how special you are
To him

good as well...but try looking at the pentameter

But as for me, I’d treat you lovely
Even though I don’t go to church every Sunday
Love’s so much more than the money
Ya know, whoa oh
Just like I said, I knew he’d cheat
But that’s exactly what you did to me
Sorry baby but I’ve gotta leave
Goodbye
That’s the end of the story

ok i guess...the second line didnt flow

i dunno most people like it but i guess these type of lyrics aren't really my preference

ah well each to their own
