how do i get the crap out of my bridge (like just crumbs and random small bits, dust etc)

i have a double locking licensed floyd rose

easy! just press down the floyd rose as far as u can so the strings get kind of loose. Them wipe it with a cleaning cloth. That's how I clean mine.

oh right, cue tips must be an American thing I'm guessing, we call them cotton buds lol

Right. They are known in general as "cotton swabs", but everyone just calls them Q-tips because that is the major brand. The same as "facial tissue" is called "Kleenex" by everyone over here even if that isn't the brand that someone is using; that brand name has become the noun that describes every box of snot-rags. We have some different speech patterns over here and in canada, and you have to know the local market (as in "on this side of the Atlantic" ) to know such brand names.
