Must if they break for me, better sounds come from the way you play more-so than the strings.

I'm not sure one exists in that price range.

You either have to look on ebay or you'll need to dish out at least thrice as much or more.

Are we talking about pounds, dollars, Euros,....?

I'm sure none exist in that price range. Sorry TS.

RAM = Random Access Memory - Good stuff, like having a table in a library, you put your books on it, then don't put them back until you're finished. Saves yo getting up to pick the books back up again.

ROM = Read Only Memory - Like a CD, you can't change what's on a CD.

At that price you could get something for text editing, and for usual websurfing if you installed XUbuntu on it.

For music editing it'll be £300+, with 2GB RAM at least (that's what I would recommend anyway).

Your friend is talking bollocks about the "rom" and doesn't have a clue.

And (holds up flameshield) a Mac is better for anything musical.

With £300 and a monitor you could get a mac mini, but I've considered that and it looks like a windows laptop would be more beneficial in a lower price range (and I do love macs).

The cheapest I saw was like £200 for 120GB and 1GB RAM which would do for music work, just not REALLY good music work.
