I've been looking at getting a Strat for awhile now, and really like the one Mikael Akerfeldt (of Opeth, for those that don't know) is using in this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=1ASwqPPNLck

According to wikipedia, he owns a 1972 reissue in natural, which makes me think that's the guitar in the video, but I don't know where to find one. Can someone confirm if this is in fact a 1972 reissue, or tell me what the model actually is, and if possible, where i could get one?

Also, I was browsing around Best Buy today, and noticed this Rainbow CD with Ritchie Blackmore on the cover, with a Strat the looks (basically) the same as the one Mikael is using in the video. Here's the album cover: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Theverybestofrainbow.jpg

Now, considering Blackmore's age and when the album was released, it probably is an ACTUAL 1970s (72?) Strat.

Basically, if where can I get a strat that looks like those two guitars without paying thousands for a custom shop? Also, where can you get the 1972 reissues?
Fender make a 70's reissue strat in natural with a maple of rosewood fingerboard. I have no experience of it, having never played it. It's priced around the £500 mark i think.
thanks, i found that link a couple minutes ago actually. /\

Does anyone know anything about these 1972 reissue strats? I heard they were made in Japan or something. Not to be cheap here, but with japanese construction the price may be a little less for something as good, if not better quality wise than it's american counterpart. If I could get the same guitar for less, I'd like to.
