I'm after a 12 string guitar(not right now,maybe a few months) but am a total noob.

I liked an Ovation one I nearly got a few months ago but I have no doubt that for £500 there are better guitars for the money.

I'd also like a normal acoustic and quite liked this when I played it:

Style I like to play:
Blues
Rock
Jazz
Country

I'll be buying the guitars a few months apart, but I'd like to decide early on.

I currently have a Tanglewood TF-8. A folk guitar.

My budget is around £500-£650. Electro-acoustic is not a must.

Thanks in advance
Tim

EDIT:When I said noob I meant in the knowledge of acoustics,I've been playing for the best part of 8 years

I got to hold one for like twelve seconds (hahaha) I want one too! They sound so cool! I also want a sitar, lute, mandolin, bass blah blah blah...

I'm not even a great player! hahaha
I love playing though!

That Guild is a nice looking instrument. Do you think it'd be worth trying to save up the extra £100-£250?
Bear in mind that I'm going to be living on my own, paying bills saving up for a home learning degree and everything.

I don't mind waiting longer if it's going to make a big difference in the quality of the instrument.

I'm not sure what exchange rates are exactly, but the guild ends up being about 500 quid -- keep in mind also that all guilds come with a nice hardshell case which will save you that expense later.

This one is a bit more reasonable if the guild ends up being out of reach for you now -- it's solid top and laminated back and sides, but Alvarez makes really great guitars.

Well in the guitar trade world it seems that a $700 guitar would be £700 or so here.
$700 is actually equivalent to ~£350

I'll try and find a dealer for both,if the Guild is worth it I'll hold out for a while.

Thanks for the help
