tomorrow i'll be going to check out a Sunn Model T ('98 reissue). since it's 10 years old, i was just wondering if there was anything i should be especially looking out for. never owned a tube amp, so i don't know too much about them. obviously i'm going to try it on all different settings/volumes possible, and with my own guitar. so just any little things i need to watch out for would be greatly appreciated.

also, just so i don't have to make another thread, and assuming i get this head, what type of cab would you recommend? i was interested in a 4x12 Avatar cab with V30's, but i just want to hear some other opinions. i play a mix of doom/ambient/post rock, like neurosis and mouth of the architect meets explosions in the sky and eluvium, but randomly floating around the solar system and orbititng undiscovered planets together. i usually play in CGCFAC or sometimes drop B.
thanks in advance.

this doesn't really answer your question at all but i'm just trying to help.

but, i guess make sure you really like the sound of it and there aren't any flaws with it. i.e sporadic crackling or popping, the pots are smooth and theres no excessive heat coming from it. really, just don't make sure you didn't buy the same amp as i did :/

haha thanks.
i've already read all the HC reviews, that's one of the reasons that turned me on to this deal. im paying $900 canadian for it (which is a bit much, considering im only going to use the 29 watt setting (i was originally just looking for a combo of some sort)) but i think it'll be worth it, because of the unique tone of these amps.
