In this vid of Paul Gilbert's version of Red House hes using the G Dorian scale a lot in this jam right? And also what other mode would fit this key of the jam?
By the way for Paul Gilbert's song Scarified he uses the Aeolian mode for the main riff right?

I haven't seen the vid of Red House, could you please post it?

And yes, in Scarified he is using F# Aeolian. But for the solo, it modulates to G# Aeolian.

Edit: The Spaceship One version is in F#. The studio version is in F.

Its F# for the spaceship version right? The normal studio version you hear is in F Aeolian i'm pretty sure.
