Not sure if anyone cares, but I'm excited as hell to be getting my first custom hand-made guitar! Many of you probably think that I shouldn't be getting one because of my skill level, but I assure you, the guitar will be loved and used everyday.

I'm going to keep this thread updated with the progress the luthier sends me, here's the first picture, it's the one with the Gotoh Floyd in it.

dude, thats pro. would've been better with a thru neck though :P

Nah, they have longer sustain and all, but I prefer set neck guitars because I can replace the neck easily if I ever have the need/want.

Nice... How much is it costing to have one custom built?

What kind of neck are you getting? Maple fretboard (Hopes). Headstock shape? Whats the wood of the guitar (Not the quilted maple, the wood behind it)

What pick-ups?

And finally, what kind of paint job are you getting?

A bolt-on neck with a Maple fretboard with a Fender Strat style headstock, and I don't know what the wood behind it is =S. For the paintjob, it's going to be a transparent black.

I'm getting some hand-wound pickups with them, the luthier also makes electric guitar pickups, and I heard that they're REALLY good (they're cheaper than peanuts too) and sound like high end DiMarzio pickups.
