i'm getting an older epiphone sheraton II with the chunky bridge soon i hope. It has some of the gold hardware faded, and i think that makes it look better everything about the thinline gibson/epi style hollow/semi-hollows is pure sex imo. the look, the tone, the feel. everything.

i'll post pics just to rub it in, if i do get it . i think my backup plan, in case the epi gets sold to someone else, is a hamer ES-335 copy (hamer are awesomely underrated).

edit: ^Slow down, i don't have a hollowbody, yet

Agreed on the Hamer.

I might have my Wildkat by then, though. I would still want that sheraton, even with a wildkat.

Isn't that the Wes Borland signature?

^ The only Wildkat I've seen in person, at a local pawn shop, looked really bad IMO, although P-90's with Bigsby does pique my interest somewhat. What colour you wanting on yours?

I would like an ES-335/9 but I refuse to pay £2k for a plywood box. PRS hollowbody I/II with a piezo bridge would be nice also...

There's some beautiful guitars on show in this thread!

My main guitar is an Ibanez AFS77T, if I'm honest it's not a particularly well-built guitar but it sounds excellent and that's all that matters! One day when I actually have money I'm going to get a Rickenbacker 360 and/or a Gibson ES-335.

I've only ever played 1 semi-hollow - An Epiphone dot w/ Gibson P-94's. I loved the tone out of them, and was surprised that they're a lot lighter than I thought - lighter than a Les Paul, I'd say. Gorgeous little sound as well - smokey blues that translated well as sincere rock n' roll

They're great for, bright, trebley clean playing, but they're way too nasally for what I do.
I know this is the hollow/semihollow thread, but...

...I prefer this L5.

Well, finally somebody with TASTE! Not sure about those low impedence
pickups though. The L5S was Gibson's most bestest solidbody ever! He're my two

Today i went into the shop and asked them to reserve the epiphone sheraton for a week or two. i managed to get the deal to £270 with a hardshell case I can't wait for my EMA bonus

its a 1998 sheraton II made in the samick factory in korea, nice brown sunburst colour looks pretty much identical to this - (this isn't the actual guitar)

Unbelievably awesome. Sounds wonderful clean. Will eventually get P90's but happy with the buckers.

That guitar looks almost like the Yamaha but I looked it up and the Yamaha Borland has a trem and rectangular edges. You've got a kick ass looking axe there my friend.

Holy sexy guitar alert.

And, on topic, I've always wanted a semi-hollow/fullyhollow bodied guitar for playing blues and slightly crunchy rock, but since I really don't play those too often I don't see why I'd buy one.

Though, they are sleeker and sexier than just about any guitar (excluding the Schecter Loomis C-7 w/ Maple neck)

All these guitars be awesome (well, except the flaming one). In my hometown no one understood the sheer badassery of a semi or hollow, my ex girlfriend said my guitar had love handles, strangers said my guitar was too big. I'd get occasional compliments, but most people looked at it weird (out of the times my band played, every other guitarist had strat or LP styles). My semi was my second guitar, it's a fairly cheapo one, but I love it (and it's a bit more comfortable than my solid body).
#120
I'm very curious about the Vox. The only thing I know about it is that it's damn expensive.
And +1 to the Yamaha TVL, a friend of mine has it and it's an awesome guitar.

I am looking forward to get one of these:

EDIT: I found a picture of a version of the second guitar from the custom shop. I will find the sucker who ordered it, kill him and steal it.
