So I have almost every single Frank Zappa album. But there are like 50 of them, so my question is: Where should I start? Looking for the most innovative and beautiful of them. I've listened to We're Only In It For The Money, and found it a bit too experimental. What are the best Zappa albums?

i can only tell you which ones are best for me....i like em all..but my 2 favs would have to be One Size Fits All, and Zoot Allures..Skeik Yerbouti is also awesome..

The Man From Utopia is pretty good.
Mainly for the Dangerous Kitchen and the Jazz Discharge Party Hats.

But being broke and in a town with no music taste it's pretty rare I can get Zappa albums so I'm not a whole lotta help.

He's got a few jazz only ones, including Make A Jazz Noise Here and Jazz From Hell.


Aside from that, my personal favourites are "You Are What You Is" and "Joe's Garage"
