what do i need to plug my ipod into my amp for backing track. Sorry for such a noob question but i know nothing about recording or anything similiar to it

an adapter that converts a small head phone jack into a larger guitar cable jack....one plugs into the other...small into big

EDIT: about 2-5 dollars

Does your amp have an "aux" input?

yah, if thats the case you can also buy a headphone jack to a RCA output cable...bout the same price

Make sure you get an adapter that isn't too stiff. I busted my earphone plug because I used an old adapter my father used to use.
