I've decided it's either now or.... well whenever.... but I decided now! I shall learn Stream by Tim Reynolds (Live at Luther College w/ Dave Matthews) and I shall not take my guitar out of Drop-D tuning until I have it complete!

...but before I do. Is it bad to leave a guitar in an alternate tuning for (most likely) a long period of time? Because I do plan on returning to Standard.

By the way, alternate tunings is how I broke the same string two times last week, so I don;t want it to happen again.

EDIT: That was so intense that I can't even remember why I named the thread "Acoustic Guitar"

hmmm I don't think so,you may need to do a slight truss adjustment but I can't see drop D causing a huge problem.

Depends on the tuning. If its only Drop D as you mentioned then your guitar will be fine.

Good luck learning Stream. Difficult but well worth it.
