Sorry if this is the wrong forum! Please inform me if it is.

Well, I want to get a great tone with clear notes but, this freakin' pick is flat around the edges as opposed to sharp. It also has a very rounded tip and both these factors make a very scratchy sound when I play with distortion on. Sometimes my notes even sound like they are tapped harmonics! It's very annoying and sounds terrible and I was wondering how I could fix it.

The pick is a new, Dunlop Tortex 1.14mm pick.

The distortion I use is DigiTech Grunge and the settings on it are:

"Loud" 1/10
"Low" 5/10
"High" 6/10
"Grunge" 5/10

My amp's tone setting is also on 4/10 and my guitar's tone setting is 5-ish. (It's an unlabled knob.)

The problem is, any other pick that I've tried feels terrible to me unless it's worn down a bit. The picks that I own and have tried are:

Dunlop Gator Grip 1mm
Dunlop Jazz lll's
Fender Celluloid Heavy
Dunlop Tortex 1.14mm/.6mm

Use a thinner pick? Change the shape of your existing pick (razor blade)? Play legato? Iunno man
