I dunno, I am looking for something. A bass with a gimick. A good one. (like fretless or 8 string) And a HUGE fat sound. To be honest I am wondering if a J Bass is a good idea. I have some J Bass pickups on my 5 string squire and they sounds thin compared to the Duncan MM pickup in my 4 string.

Also, no squires or anything. I wana buy a BASS! not A NAME DECAL!

NOOO!! save! wait and get a good four or five string that is more practical no point bllowing it on **** you dont need!! iIm lookin at an ibanez sr505 right now and if i had your funds id wait and get something like it.. what bass do you have now?

Silvertone Revolver with Duncan MM pickup in it

Squier 5 string with modified controls.

I don't want 1 THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST bass because
I will take it apart and **** with it anyway
There are soo many different sounds I want that you couldn't possibly fit it all into one bass.

Though, if you guys can give me something ****ing awesome. (Bass, Guitar, or Synth wise) I am willing to sell my 5 string. I don't really like it that much...

Honestly I think any of those are a waste of money. I'd rather go and play a load of random junk and see what I can't bear to put down.

#1: If you notice only the SX basses I am gonna do **** to. I know they suck, but THE WOODS GAH!!!111 Thats why I am getting a cheapo with badass wood and some good pickups and maybe a bridge if I can afford it this paycheck.

#2: Have you ever even played anything from Rondo Music?
#6
I think buying SX to upgrade is false economy unless you view your instruments just as large lego sets to put together, play with and then put back in their box and muddle the parts up again. If you want decent bodies for cheap, look around junk shops for MIJ Squier or whatever.

I know if I get a $300 check, Im depositing it till I don't need other peoples advice on how to spend it.

personally, I'd recommend you do the same.

Whell because I know that I am gonna get all of these basses eventually anyway. (or atleast something like all of these) But I don't want to wait untill I have the over $9000 needed to buy ALL OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME.
#11
Sure get all them eventually but like smb said its a waste if your gonna rebuild them and like dan said if you cant decide you shouldnt get any! I stress once again save and get a good quality bass or amp

I'm going to go ahead and guess you'll never own all of these basses, let alone all of them at the same time.

I remain by my original comments.

Whell maybe not all of these. But I don't want JUST ONE SINGLE 4 STRING MIA JAZZ BASS FOREVER.

If you can show me a good fretless or 8 string or something with a different sound to it, then show me!

buying things to get something different is the way to be unsatisfied with money poorly spent

I remain by my original idea, of when the right thing comes along, grabbing it because you put aside the money when it didn't truly matter and thus can afford it when it does.

A while back I read an article about Guitar Acquisition Syndrome, where the author joked about guitarists and bassist been doomed in the after life to carrying about on their backs all the instruments they had acquired in life from G.A.S. For me, I'd rather part this universe with a few good instruments than a bunch of stuff from Rondo music, lol.

It sounds like you have GAS with the side disease of bass improvement syndrome. Dan is right; put your money in a bank and save for some better basses.

I couldn't agree anymore with Anarkee and Dan.

We all have the need to buy something for the sake of it. We're human. But take a step back, review your situation, you might even have more money coming in next month? Plan ahead. If you see a $600 bass that you've wanted for ages, plan to buy it.

$300 is a lot to spend and look at the choices you've set yourself. There is so much room for a mistake buy!

Like Anarkee said, you'd rather die with a few good quality instruments that were money well-spent, rather than some Rondo basses.

Well, I'd be happy. Would you care to give it to me?
